What is REAP?

REAP stands for Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process. It is a state-level online application process for admission to the first year of B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch. courses in various government-aided and private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan.

Who conducts REAP?

REAP is organized by the Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG), Rajasthan, on behalf of the Department of Technical Education, Rajasthan.

Is there an entrance exam for REAP?

No, there is no separate entrance examination for REAP. Admissions are based on the merit of candidates in exams like JEE (Mains) and their scores in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying examinations.

What are the eligibility criteria for B.E./B.Tech courses through REAP 2026?
  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational subject.
  • A minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories like ST/SC/PWD/OBC/SBC of Rajasthan) is required in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates appearing for their final year exams are also eligible to apply.
What are the eligibility criteria for B.Arch courses?
  • Candidates must have passed or appeared in a 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
  • A minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required in the qualifying exam.
  • A valid NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) score is mandatory for admission.
What is the application fee for REAP 2026?

The application and registration fee for REAP is typically around Rs. 590/- (subject to change as per the official notification). This fee is non-refundable.

When will the REAP 2026 application process begin?

The online registration for REAP 2026 is expected to start around the last week of May 2026. The counselling process usually begins in July 2026.

How is the seat allotment done in REAP?

Seat allotment is done based on a merit list prepared with the following priorities:

For B.E./B.Tech:

  1. Rank obtained in JEE (Mains) 2026.
  2. Percentile obtained in Class 12th.
  3. Percentile obtained in a Diploma in Engineering & Technology.

For B.Arch:

  1. Merit based on 50% weightage to Class 12th percentile and 50% to the NATA/JEE 2026 score.
  2. Merit based on 50% weightage to Diploma percentile and 50% to the NATA/JEE 2026 score.
What is the reservation policy for REAP admissions?

Seat reservations are provided as per the government of Rajasthan norms. This includes quotas for candidates from Rajasthan state, as well as specific reservations for categories like SC, ST, OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL, and EWS. A certain percentage of seats are also reserved for candidates from outside Rajasthan.

What documents are required during REAP counselling?

While the exact list may vary slightly each year, common documents include:

  • Class 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates.
  • JEE (Mains) scorecard (if applicable).
  • NATA scorecard (for B.Arch).
  • Domicile certificate (for Rajasthan candidates).
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable).
  • Medical fitness certificate.
  • Passport-sized photographs.
How does the choice filling and locking process work?

After registration, candidates need to log in to the REAP portal to fill their choices of colleges and branches in order of preference. It is crucial to fill as many choices as possible to maximize admission chances. After filling the choices, candidates must lock them before the deadline. If not locked, the last saved choices are automatically locked.

What is "Upward Movement" in REAP counselling?

Upward Movement is a process that allows candidates who have been allotted a seat in one round to be considered for allotment to a higher-preference college/branch in a subsequent round, if vacancies arise. To participate, a candidate must have accepted and reported to their initially allotted college.

Can students from outside Rajasthan apply for REAP?

Yes, REAP is open to candidates from all over India. However, there are specific reservation criteria and seat quotas for Rajasthan state candidates and candidates from other states.
